Dezember 2023 Fotos
Somehow we’ve made it to 2024, and I’ll ring in the new year here on my blog with my ten favorite photos from December, 2023. This is the end of my first year doing a pick ten photos from every month challenge and I’ve quite enjoyed it. Plans are to continue it into 2024.
This was a tricky month for finding 10 favorite photos. While I do like all of these, I’m not going to argue that every one is a “winner”, and that’s part of what makes the challenge interesting. If I had ten obviously excellent photographs, ten that stood way, way above the rest, I wouldn’t have to think that hard about choosing them. It*s the months when I don’t have ten “great” photographs that are the most interesting for me. Why pick X or Y? Is it the story behind the photo that I’m choosing, and not the photo itself?
All ten this month come from Berlin, except the last, which is in Brandenburg, Germany. Brandenburg surrounds Berlin, Berlin is one of three German cities that’s also a state (Stadtstaat, plural Stadtstaaten), and in Berlin you’re never that far from Brandenburg.
2023, you were a year. In many respects not my favorite year - but as my daughter and I say, “you only ever get one ‘favorite’ thing (year, day, food), so it’s okay if this one isn’t it. It’s also probably not your least favorite”.
2024, let’s go.
