First week of the month means it’s time to look at photographs from last month. Unsurprisingly my photographs were dominated by a trip to the UK. We spent a week in London and Bath and it always feels easier to take pictures on holiday. You’re seeing new things. You’re in an actively open state-of-mind. You want to remember what you’re looking at, because next week you’ll have left it behind.

(I should note that the header image is not from the UK, but afternoon light in my atelier in Berlin.)

Our weather was phenomenal, hence all the of the blue skies and green trees. In Bath we were in full-on tourist mode, seeing the sights you’re expected to see, but did manage to also visit three different bookstores, and buy books in each of them.

In London we usually stay in Hammersmith with friends, meaning I go for 2 hour long walks along the Thames every morning. London’s not a city I can easily imagine myself living in, but if I did I would need to be near the Thames. It’s also not a London visit without my taking a picture of an old graveyard.
