On 2nd April, 1923, Max Ernst turned 32 years old. He was living in Paris with the poet Paul Éluard & Gabi, Paul’s wife and muse to a number of surrealists.
I don’t know if he received any collages as birthday gifts, or if he went out for chocolate mousse with friends, but I hope he had a nice day.
